Focus Group, a global conglomerate of companies which operates its key business in segments such as Financial Services, Healthcare Staffing and Placement, Software Consultancy Services and Education Services, across a variety of countries, announced the launch of its educational institution, Focus Edu Care. The institution is all set to launch a video conferencing solution to enable face-to-face interaction between students and tutors during online tutoring.

The institution, which is expanding its operations from 20 cities to over 30 cities aims at bridging the gap in the system of education in India by offering next generation vocational (job-oriented) training in various fields of education starting from Competitive exam Coaching (CAT, JEE, CA entrance, etc.) to Healthcare (Healthcare and Hospital Management, Clinical Research programmes), Finance (Investment Banking and Capital/Stock Market courses), Retail Management courses, CA - IPCC and various other vocational courses.

Today, with the advent of the Internet, numerous online tutoring sites have come up but there have not been many takers for a number of reasons. One of the key reasons is that the student and teacher do not see each other unlike in a traditional face-to-face session.

Teleconference

Focus Edu Care has developed video teleconferencing services that solve this problem. With this new technology, the student and teacher can use their webcams and the Internet to initiate a face-to-face interaction.
