1.5 crore grant to Kerala college :UGC

Kochi: The University Grants Commission (UGC) assisted the Maharaja College with a Rs.1.5 crore grant to accelerate its academic and research activities.

An official release said that, out of the total assistance, Rs.50 lakh would be used for research programmes. Eleven departments on the campus have been functioning as research centres.

The allocation for undergraduate programmes is Rs.16 lakh while Rs.83 lakh will be used for 14 projects.
