Kolkata: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) is likely to take a decision on the first online Common Admission Test (CAT) 2009 examination which ran into glitches, after the completion of an enquiry.
'We are aware of the problem. Right now we cannot take a decision. We have to go through the entire examination process to collect information. Then we can take a decision. A full-fledged enquiry has been ordered,' IIM Calcutta director Shekhar Chowdhury said here today.
He could not give the number of students affected in the eastern region who were unable to take test following the crashing of servers in 11 of the 105 centres across the country. Over 1500 students in the country have been affected due to the snag.
The online examination was to continue till December 7. Chowdhury did not confirm whether the date would be extended.
