Kolkata: The Bengal Institute of Business Studies (BIBS) kicked off this year's international placements with three final-year MBA students being hired by the London-based consultancy firm, Judicium.
The students, who were selected by the chairman of Judicium, Subhash Shukla, received offers of Rs 48 lakh each. The selection of these students clearly proved that foreign players on recruitment drive in Kolkata were looking beyond the IIMs.
Talking about the phenomenal opening to the placement programme, BIBS executive director Sonali Lahiri said: 'The well-researched curriculum and corporate interface has created a positive impact on recruiters.' This placement season at BIBS has seen big names like Standard Chartered Bank, Mahindra Finance, Times of India and Eureka Forbes recruit students.
