Madurai: Madras University (MU) will sign a MoU with Madurai Kamaraj University (MKU)to use infrastructure facilities available in the two universities jointly by January 15.
Launching Ph.D research wing's Online Tracking Software, developed by Winways, a Madurai based software company at the MKU here, MU Vice-chancellor G Thiruvasagam said the universities together have common facilities and it could be used for conducting research programmes jointly in life sciences, medical engineering courses and also offer dual degree courses.
It would also help to bring down cost of investments in laboratory facilities, he said. The MU also planned to introduce "Research Methodology 'as a subject at the undergraduate level from next academic year as there was a need to expose students to research programmes.
