Chennai: The 'first ever' gathering of the alumni of IIT-Madras (IITM) will be held here on December 26.
According to a release here, more than 32,000 students have graduated from the institute in the past 50 years and most were expected to attend the reunion, co-organised by the Office of Alumni Affairs (OAA) and IIT-M Alumni Association.
The day long event would see the screening of two films, one highlighting alumni contributions to the campus and the other their socially-relevant work, especially in the rural sector.
IIT-M Director Prof. M S Ananth is scheduled to deliver the inaugural address, the release said. Alumni from different parts of the world would make presentations on various issues, the release said adding an 'IIT Madras Heritage Quiz' would also be held.
