Right to answer scripts

Kolkata: Students at Bengal Engineering and Science University (BESU) will be able to see their answer sheets after semester examinations. The decision was made a faculty council meeting.

Students were currently only allowed to see their answer scripts if they had applied for permission through the Right to Information Act.

The university will allot a date after results have been announced so those interested can see their sheets.

University authorities hope that a more transparent examination system will restore student confidence and satisfaction. Students have previously resorted to unrest when their grievances have not been addressed.
