This is in tune with SMG India’s Academic Outreach Programme where it is trying to build a relationship with some of the leading management institutes in the country. Some of the initiatives under this programme are supporting the educational institutes annual research or marketing conclaves, speaking at campus forums and creating a structured internship programme.
Commenting on the excellent response by business schools, Ravi Kiran, CEO, South-Asia, Starcom MediaVest Group, said, “Capturing of consumer attention is a common buzzword on all the management campuses and it is this essence which SMG has owned for the past three years and is now being echoed across business schools in India.”
Sandeep Lakhina, chief operating officer, South-Asia, Starcom Worldwide, said, “From digital marketing to rural marketing, from retail branding to branded content, the students are keen to learn the various skills and techniques of these multi media touch points to target consumers.”
Verticals like digital marketing, rural marketing and entertainment marketing seem to be a clear favourite among the students.
