New Delhi: The National Institute of Jewellery Design and (NIJDT) and the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) have joined hands to develop new courses and upgrade existing laboratories to cater to the current market needs. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed today between NIJDT and NIFT in this regard. As part of the understanding, the NIFT would provide guidance in the areas of course positioning, design, finalisation of curriculum, selection of faculty, modernisation/upgrade of laboratories and co-branding of the courses. NIJDT on its part would support administration and finance in running of the institution, a release said. The MoU was signed by CMD Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (DSIIDC) Chetan Sanghi and Rajiv Takru, Director General, NIFT in the presence of Haroon Yusuf, Minister of Industries, Delhi Government.
