Tezpur (Assam): The Tezpur University's Department of Business Administration has been ranked 'A' in the Business India B-School Survey 2009.
The Central university was the only university from the North east region to feature in the Survey, Tezpur University sources said today. The department, which was ranked B++ in 2008, has been moved upward in a number of other activities as well, the sources said.
The University is the only non-IIM institution of the region to have adopted the CAT for selection of students to its MBA programme along with MAT.
Asserting this brings in high quality students and attracts recruiting organisations, the sources said, a unique feature of the department was that its MBA students were made to compulsorily learn Chinese or French in an endeavor to make them professionally more effective in the international market.
