Lucknow: The social initiatives committee of IIM Lucknow organised a workshop to provide career guidance to under-privileged students here.
'The objective of this initiative 'Disha' was to identify bright students and provide exposure and counsel them about the various available career paths and to prepare them for the same,' a release issued by the IIM said.
The institute partnered with Jaipuria Institute of Management (JIM), Lucknow to provide career guidance and personality development to students of Prakash Bal Vidya Mandir (PBVM), it said.
The first step towards this was the computer awareness programme especially the Internet, as this will help them to choose a career of their choice.
During the workshop, various career options like engineering, medicine, accountancy and other opportunities were discussed.
