23 National Karate championship from October 22

Jaipur: All India Karate Federation (AIKF) will organise the 23rd National Championship at the University of Rajasthan here from tomorrow.

The event will double up s selection trial for the 34th National Games to be held at Ranchi, Jharkhand in November, Rameshwar Nirwan, AIKF President told a press conference here today.

The selection of national referee and judges would also be made during championship, he said.

The 16 selected teams and jurors will partcipate in National Games. More than 1050 participants from 31 state federations have already arived for the selecton procedure, he said.

"There was a rival group of few Chennai based persons who had been using same name as that of AIKF which is registered with charity commissioner Mumbai, and had been creating confusion so far.
