Kolkata: CBSE schools in Kolkata are considering introducing tests, interviews or both for students changing schools.
The move comes after Delhi’s decision to award grades instead of marks.
School authorities said that an interview was necessary as it would be difficult to admit students to the Plus II level only the basis of their grades.
Students this year have their marks and grades on their score sheets. Only grades will be present from next year. Most students who change institutes do so because they do not get into the stream of their choice.
