jmu Jamia Millia Islamia University (JMI)-New Delhi invites application for admission to Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programme in the faculty of Humanities and Languages, Architecture and Ekistics, Education, Engineering and Technology, Law, Natural Science and Social Science for the commencing academic session 2016.

All the aspirants are advised to apply through prescribed format latest by August 17.

All the aspirants interested in applying need to have a Master's degree in concerned discipline from a recognised university/institute with a minimum 55 per cent aggregate.

Selection procedure for Jamia Millia Islamia University Admission 2016:

The selection of aspirants will be done on the basis of their performance in the entrance test and interview conducted by the university.

Following candidates will exempted from the entrance test:

Aspirants who have qualified University Grants Commission (UGC)/ National Eligibility Test (NET)/Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) examination or any other equivalent examination conducted by the recognised governmental department
Aspirants who have completed Master of Philosophy (MPhil) programme from a recognised university/institution
Also, Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) sponsored candidates are exempted from taking entrance examination.
