Ventura ’10, the country’s largest international business plan contest being organised by the Entrepreneurship Cell (E-Cell) of National Institute of Technology – Tiruchi (NIT-T), promises the rare opportunity for those looking for the right platform to take off as successful entrepreneurs. The contest with a prize money of Rs.3 lakh and incubation funding of Rs.40 lakh attracted participation of 244 student teams from 120 institutions across 15 nations.
The winners were determined on the basis of innovation, both technical and market; financial stability of the plan, and competence.
The winning team from Ventura 09, ‘CardioCure’, from GeorgiaTech, USA is in talks with the ICICI Knowledge Park, Hyderabad to set up their venture soon.
Ventura ’10 is back to create history, again with support from the Department of Science and Technology and the country’s first campus incubator TREC-STEP (Tiruchi Regional Engineering College – Science and Technology Entrepreneurs’ Park), this time with prize money of Rs. 4 lakh.
