IIT Gandhinagar to open new UG Course : IIT Gandhinagar to launch B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering from this year onwards

iitgandhi IIT Gandhinagar is all set to open its new branch in B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering from this year onwards. The purpose of the introduction of the course is to bring about practical knowledge among students of IIT Gandhinagar in the field.

IIT Gandhinagar Students under the curriculum of CSE will get to experience real word problems with the use of applications for projects.

Specialisations of the IIT Gandhinagar CSE course include:

Algorithm design
Artificial Intelligence
Machine Learning
Operating Systems
Data Science
Information Security
IIT Gandhinagar faculty on introduction of new course:

A sequence of electives will be available for IIT Gandhinagar students in the undergraduate course for specialisation
There will be an interface of these selective courses with fields including medicine, cognitive computing, computational mechanics, computational biology, statistical physics, quantum computing, robotics, internet of things, computational social science
The research strength will guide students from other disciplines as well
The IIT Gandhinagar will try to bring students close to the current frontiers of research in the topics concerned
The B.Tech programmes in CSE will also include supervised readings, expert lectures, industry collaborations and visit, and semester-long project courses
