Anna university ranking : PSG Institute of Technology and Applied Research, Coimbatore, bagged the top position in the non-autonomous colleges affiliated to Anna University

annauniversity For the second consecutive year, PSG Institute of Technology and Applied Research, Coimbatore, reatined the top position in the academic rankings of non-autonomous colleges affiliated to Anna University, Chennai.

With a pass percentage of 97%, PSG iTech has topped the list in both April-May 2015 semester exam and November-December 2015 exams.

Anna University on Tuesday announced the rank list of the non-autonomous colleges affiliated to it. The rankings are meant to provide an idea about the colleges affiliated to the university to the engineering aspirants who will be participating the engineering counselling which is scheduled to begin on June 27. In the April-May 2015 semester exam, PSG iTech had 616 out of 635 students pass the exam, with a pass percentage of 97.01%.

This is a slight decrease from the 98.33% in the exam conducted in November-December 2014

On the other hand, PSG iTech managed to retain the top spot in the November-December 2015 exams too, with a pass percentage of 97.01%. In fact, it is the only college which has scored a pass percentage above 90%.

There are 522 non-autonomous colleges affiliated to Anna University in the April-May 2015 semester, and nine colleges managed to secure a pass percentage more than 90%. In November-December 2015, there were 516 colleges affiliated to Anna University.
