The National Institute of Technology (NIT)-Delhi has invited applications form interested, eligible candidates to apply for Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) programme offered in various disciplined for the commencing session August 2016.

The last date to apply through a prescribed format is July 1.

Eligibility criteria:

Educational qualification:

Ph.D in Engineering Programme: The candidates interested in applying for this programme should have a Bachelor and Master degree in Engineering/Technology or equivalent in the relevant area of research with a first class grade point at Bachelor's or Master's level.

Ph.D in Sciences, Humanities, and Management Programme: All the candidates should have the Master's degree in appropriate branch of science/humanities/social sciences/management or equivalent with a first class grade point. Also, the candidate needs to have a valid Graduate Apptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) score or National Eligibility Test (NET) certificate.

Selection procedure:

The selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of a written examination followed by an interview round.

Application fee:

The candidates need to pay Rs 1000 for each application form while the SC/ST candidates need to pay Rs 500.
