The final result of TISSNET (Tata Institute of Social Sciences National Entrance Test ) 2016 has been declared yesterday, i.e on April 22.

The final result of TISSNET (Tata Institute of Social Sciences National Entrance Test ) 2016 has been declared yesterday, i.e on April 22 by Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai.The exam was held on January 9 in computer based mode, and the names of the shortlisted candidates were announced on February 2. The selected lot then had to appear for the further rounds of selection procedure including the pre interview test and personal interview held from March 10 to April 8, 2016.

TISSNET is a computer-based entrance exam comprising objective questions based on social sensitivity, logical reasoning, analytical ability and knowledge on contemporary issues. The duration of the exam is of one hour and 40 minutes. The candidates can check the selection status along with the scores obtained in the interview rounds and cutoff marks.

TISSNET scores are accepted only by TISS Mumbai. The exam was held in 39 centres located in different parts of the country. The exam is conducted for Masters in Social Work and various other Master's programmes offered in TISS campuses at Mumbai, Tuljapur, Hyderabad, Guwahati, IMHST Chennai, MHAT Calicut and G-SET Ranchi.

The final merit list is prepared on the basis of the below listed components:

National common written test: 40 percent out of 100 marks

Pre-interview test/GD: 30 percent out of 50 marks

Personal interview: 30 percent out of 75 marks

Total: 225 marks
