iiitv Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Vadodara released an official notification inviting all the interested, eligible candidates to apply to take admission for social sciences courses, Master of Technology (M.Tech) in computer science and engineering and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in engineering sciences and humanities for the commencing session.

The last date to apply is May 27, 2016.

Eligibility criteria:

Educational qualification for IIIT Vadodara:

Master of Technology (M.Tech) Programme: All the candidates interested in applying must possess a Bachelor of Science ( BTech)/ Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Computer Science (CS), Information Technology (IT)and related areas OR

Master in Science (MSc) in CS/IT/ STAT/ MATH with aggregate marks not less than 60 percent or equivalent.

Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) Programme: The interested candidates should possess a Master of Technology (M.Tech.) Material Science/ Nano-Technology/ Applied Optics/ Engineering Physics/ Scientific Computing, M.Sc. in Mathematics/ Physics/ Statistics/ Electronics/ Computer Science and related areas. OR

Ph.D in Humanities and Social Sciences Programme: All the candidates should have Master of Arts (MA)/ Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) in Linguistics/ English and related areas.

Selection procedure for IIIT Vadodara:

All the candidates will be selected on the basis of a written test and an interview round.

Application fee:

The application fee for all programmes is Rs 1000.

The application has to be filled in the prescribed format only

The filled in online application copy needs to be sent to the "Registrar, Indian Institute of Information Technology, IIITV - Gandhinagar Campus, Block no. 9, Government Engineering College, Sector 28, Gandhinagar - 382028."

Important dates:

The last date to submit an application online is May 27.

The written exam/interview for M.Tech programme will be held on June 20 and 21, 2016.

For PhD programme, the written test and/or interview will be held on June 27 and 29.
