Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU), Lucknow conducts the Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE) in various department of Engineering, Pharmacy and Architecture courses for admission to institutions affiliated to UPTU and other participating universities. Here is a quick view of exam pattern and syllabus before the last minute preparation.
Paper Pattern:
The exam consists of multiple choice questions without negative marking. The total examination is of 600 marks based on 150 questions carrying 50 marks each for every subject.

Paper 2 - Biology

Paper 4- Aptitude test for Architecture
Mathematic syllabus: Algebra, Probability, Trigonometry, Co-ordinate geometry, Calculus, Vectors, Dynamics, Statistics.
Drawing Aptitude: Sketching of a given object in a proportionate manner , Perspective drawing, Composing three dimensional elements ,Two dimensional compositions, Developing a sense of scale and proportion
Paper 5- Aptitude test for General Awareness
Reasoning and logical deduction, Geometrical design and identification, Selection of related words/letters/figures/numbers, Identification of odd items from a group, Completion of numerical series based on logic/pattern, Syllogisms.
Numerical ability and scientific aptitude, General arithmetic questions, Calculation of fractions, square roots, percentages etc, Calculation of profits, loss and interest rates, Data/table analysis, Questions related to common use of science, Questions on health and nutrition
General knowledge, Current affairs, Historical events, Geography ( tourist places/spots), Countries and currencies.
English language, Meaning of words, Antonyms and synonyms, Meaning of phrases and idioms, Correct sentences (by using the correct adjectives, adverbs, verbs and pronouns), Comprehension based questions.
