Celebrating 25 years of its establishment, the Times Centre for Media Studies held a joint convocation ceremony for the outgoing 54 students of its 11th batch of marketing and the 34 students of its sixth batch of journalism.
The enthusiastic crowd comprising students, parents, faculty members and guests of honour cheered for the students as they received their awards and degrees.
The toppers from the journalism course were Arnab Nandy (gold), Sruthy Susan Ullas (silver) and Amrita Mittra (bronze) and the toppers from the marketing course were Neha Kapoor (gold), Nikhila Ahuja (silver) and Annie Jain (bronze).
Arnab, topper of the journalism course, who graduated in English and did his PG Diploma in Journalism from Times School, said: “The course was intense and we did a lot of projects that helped me develop as a mature writer.” He has started freelancing and hopes to get a permanent job soon.
Neha, topper of the marketing course who is already interning with The Times of India, said: “Studying at the Times School was a great experience. I got a lot of exposure and it has helped me gain confidence.
