Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) - Kanpur invites applications for admission to its Master of Technology (M. Tech) Programme

iitkanpur Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) - Kanpur has released an admission notification, inviting interested, eligible applications for admission to Master of Technology (M. Tech), Master of Science (MS), Master of Design (M. Des) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph. D) programmes for the commencing academic session.

Eligibility criteria for Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) - Kanpur:

Educational qualification for Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) - Kanpur:

Master of Design (M. Des): All the candidates interested in applying for this course should have the Bachelor's degree in engineering with Design or Architecture with marks/ Cumulative Performance Index (CPI) not below the specified minimum.

Master of Technology (M. Tech) : All the candidates interested in applying for this course should have the Bachelor's degree in engineering or science or the Master's degree in science with marks/ CPI not below the minimum required.

Ph.D. in Sciences: All the candidates applying for this course need to have a master's degree in the relevant subject or a bachelor's degree in engineering or science with a valid GATE score or must have qualified Junior Research Fellow (JRF).

Selection procedure for Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) - Kanpur:

All the candidates will be selected on the basis of a valid GATE/ Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED) for admission to the Master of Technology (M.Tech)/ Master of Design (M.Des).

The candidate's performance in the qualifying examination and interview will also be judged before living admission.

All the admissions in the Ph.D programmes will be based on their written tests and/or interviews of the shortlisted candidates.

Application fee for Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) - Kanpur:

All the candidates from the general/ OBC category need to pay Rs 400.

All the applicants from the SC/ ST/ PwD category need to pay Rs 200.

How to apply for Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) - Kanpur:

All the candidates need to apply online on the website, www.iitk.ac.in.

The application should be submitted in the prescribed format only.

In support of the application, candidates applying for PhD programmes need to provide at least two reference letters along with the online form.

The last date to apply for all programmes is April 11, 2016.
