gate Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2016 results has been declared. The candidates who had appeared for GATE 2016 can now check their scores online on their official website.

Steps to check the gate result

Log on to the official website, the link for which is www.gate.iisc.ernet.in

Click on tab 'GOAPS website'

In the new window that opens click on tab 'GATE 2016'

In the space provided fill in the required details and submit

The result will appear on the screen, take a print out for future reference.

The GATE 2016 exam was held on January 30, 31 and February 6 and 2016 for various branches. The candidates qualifying in this exam are only eligible for admission into PG Courses like M.Tech, M.S etc.

Indian Institute of Science (IISC), Bangalore Board conducted GATE 2016 on behalf of the Ministry of Human Resource Development by the Government of India.

This year as many as 971, 831 candidates had registered and applied for GATE 2016 exam, out of which 818, 850 took the gate exam.

The scores obtained in GATE 2016 will be valid for a period of three years, from the date of announcement of gate results. GATE 2016 was jointly administered by the IISc and seven Indian Institute of Technology, namely: Mumbai, Delhi, Kanpur, Roorkee, Madras, Kharagpur, Guwahati.
