vit The Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) has invited applications from interested, eligible candidates to apply for its PG programme offered in the following various specialisations:

Master of Technology (M.Tech)

Master of Computer Application (MCA)

Master of Science (M.Sc)

Master of Philosophy (M.Phil)

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D)

Eligibility criteria for VIT

Educational qualification:

M.Tech: Those interested in applying should have the B.E/B.Tech degree in any branch/M.S/ M.Sc/MCA or any other equivalent degree. The applicants should have a minimum of 60 percent or equivalent in their respective undergraduate degrees.

MCA: Those interested in applying should have a recognised Bachelor's degree of minimum three years duration in BCA, B.Sc (IT/Computer Science) with mathematics as a course at Class 12 level or at graduation level. They should have obtained at least 60 percent in the qualifying examination.

M.Sc: Those interested in applying should have a degree in Biological Sciences for M.Sc. programmes in Biotechnology/Applied Microbiology/ Biomedical genetics. The candidates interested in applying for this programme must have appeared in JEE (Main) 2015 or AIPMT 2015.

Selection procedure for VIT

The selection of the candidates will be made on the basis of VITMEE 2016.

Important dates for VIT admission

The last date for the submission of an application form is May 16.

VITMEE/VITREE will be conducted June 4 and 5.
