Education alone can empower woman

Kulithalai: Education is the only means towards women upliftment, to instill self-confidence within them and facilitate them to progress towards a secure future.

Addressing students of the Dr. Kalaignar Government Arts College on the occasion of College Day, Dr. Baskar, Member Secretary, Tamil State Council for Higher Education opined that human resource development played a key role in ushering a better-endowed society.

Stressing the importance of reading Dr. Baskar pointed out that it was highly important to bring out a knowledge-based society. He also stated that it is extremely important to impart the habit of reading at a early age.

It is immensely important for the girls to acquire soft skills and prime among them is communication. Better communication skills would ensure a better tomorrow, he added.

Acquiring proper education would definitely result in secure future for the girls in the competitive world and education alone holds the key to development of girls that would later provide them with the required self-confidence to sustain them in the world, Dr. Baskar said.
