IIT Patna Application

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Patna has invited application for admissions to Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) programme offered in Engineering, Science, Humanities and Social Sciences. The eligible candidates should apply through the official website of IIT Patna latest by November 19.

Educational qualification:

Ph.D in Science: The aspirant should have acquired a degree in Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) or the candidates should possess a Master's degree in Science, Engineering, Technology or a Bachelor's degree in Engineering/technology from a recognised university or institute.

Ph.D in Humanities and Social Sciences: The candidates should have completed Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) or the candidates should have acquired a Bachelor's degree from an Indian Institute of Technology (IIT).

Selection procedure for IIT Patna:
The candidates will be short-listed on the basis of their performance in the written test or interview. Also, the decision will be made on the basis of GATE/NET score card.

Application fee:
An application fee of Rs 300 and Rs 150 needs to be paid by the general & OBC candidates and SC/ST/PwD candidates respectively for the registration procedure. The aspirant can make the payment in the form of demand draft, drawn in favour of 'IIT Patna' payable at Patna.

How to apply:
The eligible candidates should apply through the official website of IIT Patna, the link for which is iitp.ac.in. The candidates can send in their duly filled application along with the essential documents and demand draft to 'The Assistant Registrar(Academics), Indian Institute of Technology Patna, Bihta, Kanpa Road, District - Patna, Bihar, Pin - 801118' through a proper channel so as to reach before the closing date.
