The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM- A) is all set to conduct the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2015 on November 29.
CAT Exam 2015 is a computer-based test that tests a student on the basis of his skills in English, Mathematics and Logical Reasoning. It is one of the most competitive MBA entrance exam conducted in India and the exam is taken by around 2 lakh candidates.
So as to help students brush up their knowledge and get help regarding any doubt or query, IMS will be launching an online interactive platform called #Chat4CAT from November 1, 2015. Last year also, this initiative had attracted over 5,000 students in the last 15 days.
As per newspaper reports, IMS uses this platform to organize a chatting session, in which over 100 faculties from over 40 different cities answer the queries of all students from all the three sections of CAT exam 2015. These faculties include the alumni of top 30 B-schools of India who are currently mentors to over 10,000 classroom students in these cities.
This year, the test will be held by IIM Ahmedabad across 115 centres and will be conducted in a single day in 2 slots, unlike previous years.
#Chat4CAT also has a live chat interface which makes it a real time answering tool. Most of the questions on the forums are answered within 300 seconds.
Also, IIM Ahmedabad will be releasing a sample test for the CAT 2015aspirants at the official website iimcat.ac.in, so that they can evaluate their preparation and get a better idea regarding the paper pattern. It would determine the exact changed pattern and difficulty level of CAT 2015. There are 136 test cities where the exam will be held by IIM Ahmedabad.
The exam will be based on three sections i.e. 'Quantitative Aptitude (QA)', 'Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR)' and 'Verbal and ReadingComprehension (VRC). QA and VRC will have 34 questions each and DILR will have 32 questions. The CAT 2015 exam held by IIM Ahmedabad is set for duration of 180 minutes.
