On September 3, the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) released the schedule for the Secondary School Certificate (Class 10) and the Higher Secondary Certificate (Class 12) examinations, which has been scheduled to conducted in 2016.
According to the timetable published online, the Maharashtra State Board SSC exams will be held from March 1 to March 22 and the HSC exam will be conducted from February 18 to March 28. The students can view the schedule at the official website, www.mahahsscboard.maharashtra.gov.in.
The Maharashtra State Board will announce the timetable for the oral, practical and graded exams next year, few days before the written exam begin.
Maharashtra State Board conducts the HSC and SSC exam through its nine divisional boards in Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune, Latur, Aurangabad, Amravati, Nasik, Kolhapur and Ratnagiri.
In the SSC exam held by Maharashtra State Board in March this year, the highest pass percentage was recorded by Konkan division, at 96.54 percent, next was Kolhapur with 95.12 percent. Pune stood third with 95.10 percent, and Mumbai was fourth with 92.90 percent. Continuing the trend, girls had outperformed boys once again. The girl students achieved a pass percentage of 92.94 percent, while they boys got 90.18 percent.
This year, over 17.3 lakh students appeared for the Maharashtra State Board Class 10 examination, which was conducted at 343 centres across the state. The exam began on March 3 and concluded on March 26. The students were tested on subjects under Science and Technology, Social Science, Mathematics, Languages and Information COMMUNICATION Technology.
