The UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) admit cards for the IAS preliminary examination 2015 can be downloaded from the official website of UPSC. The students who have registered for this UPSC exam can download the admit cards from today till August 23.
Several written examinations and also interviews for selecting eligible and talented candidates for various posts by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). Every year, a large number of candidates are registering themselves for the UPSC exam.
It is compulsary for the candidates to bring their admit cards while appearing in their respective exam centres. All the important details like examination centers, roll number, date & timing of examination would be mentioned in the admit card.
This preliminary examination is also called as CSAT or Civil Services Aptitude Test. The civil services examination is being conducted in three phases: preliminary exam, mains and an interview phase. candidates who have cleared all the three rounds, will be eligible for the posts of Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and others.
Paper pattern
The prelims paper comprises of two sections. Paper I is called as G.S (General Studies) section and paper II is Aptitude test. Both the papers carry 200 marks each.
From this year, the CSAT would be of qualifying nature and one needs to score only 33 percent. Marks of Paper 1 only will only be considered for ranking in the prelims, based on the scores candidates can appear for the mains exam.
To download the admit card
The registered candidates can log on to the official website www.upsc.gov.in.
They should then click on the 'e-Admit Card-Civil Service Examination, 2015' link.
Fill all the informations required and click on submit.
Save or take the print out of the displayed admit card.
Important dates
Examination date is August 23
The results of examination will be announced on the last week of October.
