City-based Navrachana University (NU) will offer two new programs from academic year 2015-16. The private university will offer BA+ and BCom+ - the three year undergraduate programs with degrees in BA and BCom with options to pursue career upon graduation or do an additional one year full time post graduate diploma in the area of specialization.
"Both BA+ and BCom+ programs have been designed with a practical approach and a mix of theory and practice-based teaching methods," Navrachana University office-bearers said while addressing media persons here on Tuesday. While the curriculum of BCom+ program is based on demand for skilled manpower in areas of commerce and accountancy, the BA+ program develops professionals to serve social and governmental sectors.
"In addition to fulfilling the educational requirements for BA and BCom degrees, the plus implies that they have interdisciplinary and have professional focus so graduates are prepared to pursue a career in their chosen fields," Navrachana University officials said. The BA+ program offers specialization in the areas of social design and innovation, development studies and public health.
