The Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB) declared the Karnataka Class 12 Results at 11:30 am today. The students can check their results online. A total of eight lakh students appear for the Karnataka SSLC examination every year. Last year, over six lakh students had taken the PUC 2 examination, out of which more than three lakh cleared the exam. The pass percentage was 62 percent for the Science stream, 70 percent for the Commerce stream and 51 percent for the Arts stream.
Earlier, the results were to be declared on May 17, but the date was postponed by one day. The Karnataka Class 12 Results were finally published on May 18 KSEEB was established by the government of Karnataka in 1966 and subsequently began the process of conducting examinations. It has the power to regulate, supervise and control school education in Karnataka. Its duty is to prepare academic programmes and organise examinations, especially for state level Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC or Class 12).
The Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board conducts the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) i.e. Karnataka Class 12 examinations and other examinations in the state every year. The board was founded for the promotion and development of Secondary Education in Karnataka. The primary functions of the board are to recommend the syllabus, propose rules and specify courses of instruction and textbooks, teaching by correspondence courses, recognition of higher school and higher secondary schools in Karnataka.
