Mr.Arunachalam TK of Cambridge English says, There is a difference between the industry communication and the communication imparted by educational institution to its students. While speaking at an HR summit organized by the Cambridge English Language Assessment and Madras Management Association here, he said, "Each industry requires different kind of communication skills and they look for certain language skills while recruiting. Communiction skill required for an IT company may differ from the communication skill sought by the healthcare company from a candidate during recruitment.
"There is a difference between what the industry says is good communication and what the education system teaches to the students. Aim of this summit, is to shorten the gap, improving standards of communication and instructing English language as a skill instead of academic subject," he said.
Arunachalam also said they’re also working with teachers to improve their English language communication skills. Corporate people, HR Managers of Industries, faculty members and placement officers of colleges participated in the summit.
