Education department of state Government of Tamil Nadu takes some serious steps to prevent the paper wastages by students who are writing their X and XII board examinations.
The department officials informed that to restrict the stationery wastage only they take this steps. The reduction is of giving papers is taken by analyzing number of pages written by the students of last year. Reduce of number pages is applicable for few papers.
It is also decided to issue the ruled papers for languages examinations like Tamil and English. Nine lacs students are appearing for XII examinations which commence on March 5th and ends in March 31. Around 11 lacs students are appearing for X STD which is scheduled on March 19 and ends 14 April’10.
As on 2013, a bundle of answer sheets were given as main sheet to the students to restrict the time wastage by the students in getting the additional sheets.
After completing the primary sheets, the candidates can ask for additional answer sheet from the Hall supervisors.
In fact as on 2014, 30 paper bundles were given to X std and 40 paper bundle was given to XII std. But, it is found that the student left lot of pages vacant and this leads to wastage of paper. To avoid this only the government is taking steps now.
