Stenographer job in Indian Railways

This is the time to apply for the post of stenographer or Junior Stenographer in Indian Railways. Indian Railways published notification in its web site www.rrbchennai.gov.in for 599 vacancies.

The minimum qualification to apply is X pass with minimum speed of 80 words per minute in short hand.

The age criteria to apply are 21 and the maximum age limit is 35 as on Jan 1. Age relaxation of 3 years will be given for others backward communities and for SC & ST 5 years of age relaxation will be given.

The candidates should undergo a written examination in multiple choice types to be held on 11.01.2015. any syllabus of the test will be

1. General knowledge

2. Arithmetic

3. General science and

4. Reasoning.

The students should answer 120 questions in 90 minutes. Negative scoring for wrong answer procedure will be followed.

The candidates who are qualified in written to be should face a skill test on personal Interview.

The examination fee for General and OBC candidates is Rs.100 (only for male candidate). There is no fee for female, SC, and ST candidates.

The aspiring candidates can apply after down loading the application from the website concerned. The examination fee has to be paid vide Demand Draft prog,

"Assistant Secretary or secretary or member secretary or chairman of Railway Board" in any one of the Nationalized banks.

The last date to submit the completely filled applied in 10.11.2014.
