In fact, only in 2007, new concepts were introduced in the Medical syllabus, and the thing is the content is just added with the existing syllabus. The idea behind the revision is, developing maximum possible competency in the existing curriculum.
Now the students are supposed to wait till the end of the academic year to start their clinical practices. Now, they can start the clinical practices in the 1st year itself. It is felt that now, 1st year classes for MBBS is mostly text book oriented. Now, the efforts are taken in vision-2015 to put the students directly to clinical practices in the 1st year itself. It is planned to introduced subjects like Radiology and surgery in the first year it self.
