The candidates who are interested become a post graduate teacher should have come in the regular track of SSLC, XII and graduate according to the verdict of Madras High court. Many people would have gone to degree in Open University System, and then try to complete their school qualification, by private or Direct Appearing rule of state Government of Tamil Nadu.
This issue arises when a candidate pleaded the order to become a teacher in the situation when he completed his degree course open university and later did XII in Direct Appearing in the reverse order.
To respond this issue a division bench of Justice Satish K. Agnihotri and justice M.M. Sundresh said that a degree/diploma/post graduation can be considered for appointment in public services only after candidate possess class X and class XII in proper and channel.
This judgment made the regular study before obtaining graduation/postgraduate or diploma as mandatory.
One, V. Manimozhi cleared XII after getting a degree in Open University norms.
The candidate’s application was rejected and she moved to the court. The High court permitted this case, and passed the order that she could be considered for the post of the teacher. Against this, the teachers Recruitment Board (TRB) filed a such. The director of Education said that the state government order dated August if, was clearly indicated that qualifications for appointment as post Graduate Teachers was SSLC, XII, degree and this order has to be maintained. This legality of the order was upheld by a division branch also.
