Geographical information system of Mapping

It is proud to state, as the first state in the country, the Geographical Information system mapping is done with Education Management. Information system to check on school dropout. This is stated by IT minister Mukkur N.Subramanian. This system enables the Education department to have a track on the school besides will have clear track on all school going children.

Pilot study is going on in 5 Govt. schools in Trichy District. Elcot and Tamil Nadu e-Govt Agency an included in this project. The mission mode department are taking active fact on this project. The mission mode departments identified are Agriculture, municipal Administration, Panchayat Raj and the police. Mr.Subramanian said that the Tamil Nadu Virtual Academy (TNVA) would develop a visual thesaurus for Tamil. Thesaurus is a process to understand different meaning for a single word. Besides the minister said that 2211 books nationalized by the state Government, would be digitalized and converted in to PDF form.
