MOU between Tamil Nadu Fishing University and Fishing Farm

The Tamil Nadu fisheries universities has entered on memorandum of understanding with a private fishing farm in Vaduvoor in Tanjore District. The MOU is with respect to fresh water carps known as Kendai meen. This is to help to increase the income of fish for the fish farmers on Cauvery delta. The objective of understanding is in triploid in fishes (all male population), growth oriented procedure and breeding and genetics research. The MOU was signed by G.Jayasekaran director of Research of the Tamil Nadu fisheries University and S.Pugazhendhi Chairman Chozha Fish farm,  vaduvoor. The development will provide on hand training on carts to the students and it would benefit the internees of the fisheries college and the university. The farm belongs to Mr.Pugazhendi and it was chosen because of its vast location with nurseries hatcheries and grow out yard.
