Patna: A school modelled on famous Netarhat school, which went to Jharkhand after bifurcation of the state, would start functioning from July 2010 in Bihar. The school, which would be named as Simultalla Awasiya Vidyalaya located in Jamui district, would be a co-educational with an intake of 120 students -60 boys and 60 -girls.
Anjani Kumar Singh, principal secretary, Human Resources Development (HRD) department after inspecting the site for school at Simultalla in Jamui district said that the school would have classes VIII to X .
Singh was accompanied by Netarhat Old Boys Association (NOBA), representatives from Educational Consultants of India Limited (EDCIL) and district administration officials.
EDCIL has been entrusted with the task of preparing the detailed project report (DPR) for the school within two months. The responsibility to prepare its design as well as implementation of the project would be with EDCIL, Singh said.
The principal secretary said the process for appointment principal through an all India advertisement will commence soon and the students would also be selected through competitive examination.
