Uniform fee in 13,000 Engineering Colleges

The demand for uniform fee structure for BE courses is due for quiet long time. All india council for Technical Education (AICTE) has constituted a committee to expose the ways and means for implementing a uniform fee structure. This may be applicable for about 13000 Engineering colleges in India.  The committee is constituted under the Chairmanship of the former Supreme Court Justice      B.N. Srikrishna. The object is creating the guidelines for charging tuition and other fees in the technical Institutions. According to Prof S.S. Mantha, the Chairman of AICTE, that committee already met in this month to discuss about the modalities. It seems that the private Engineering colleges in the city had submitted their demand for implementation of a uniform fee structure for all private Engineering colleges in the country two years ago.
