Why Engineering Admissions postponed in Tamil Nadu?

521 applications for new Engineering Colleges and additional seats in existing Institutions re dept pending by All India Council of Technical Education and the concerned colleges want to supreme Court. The Supreme Court postponed the Engineering Admissions across the country.

The court directed AICTE to complete inspections in a week and asked Universities to conduct inspections within a week and complete affiliation within another week. The admission procedure commence within a fortnight. This enables the possibility of addition 9000 engineering seats in Tamil Nadu.

Anna University has to reschedule its counseling process and the colleges have to alter its Academic programs.
