Issue of Equivalent Degree

Madras High Court passed an interesting verdict in an issue of Equivalent graduation. Two candidates were not selected to the post of post Graduate Assistant in the subject chemistry. Since they were qualified in M.Sc (Industrical Chemistry). This branch was not considered to be equivalent to M.Sc (chemistry) Madras High court directed the authorities concerned to consider the claim since the candidates were fully qualified for the post of PG Assistant position. The appeals were filed by Mr. A. Thiruvarutchevam and Mr.R.Mathivanan. the declaration of equivalence will date back from the date of passing the said degree.
