The Admission committee for professional courses (ACPC) has decided to allow the management quota preference to all the students in Gujarat. This is to keep a check on capitation fee and to regulate the capitation fee charge taken for the admission through management quota.
According to AICTE that the students will be allowed to give choices to management quota in the application form itself. The provisions for this will be given the form itself. That is the option for management can be selected at the time of applying for the programme. The list of total students who have preferred this choice will then be forwarded to the managements of the college who will take further action to fill seats of management quota. This method will indicate clearly how many students prepared to pay and get admission under management quota.
The colleges in Gujarat will decided on the admission under the management quota, but the selection of the student will be from the list sent by ACPC.
In Gujarat about 75% of the seats in self financing colleges are filled by the admission through ACPC and 25% of the seats are filled the management directly. The management of the colleges may charge capitation fee and even other form of donation on these 25% seats.
