Change of pattern in SAT Examination of college Board

Scholastic Aptitude Test of College Board is redesigned in such a way to make the pattern to work for colleges and carrier preparations. The redesigning is in order to focus to make this exam to fit to modern needs. The categories of SAT exam are changed such that it focuses on knowledge and skills which are more essential for college studies. The same procedure is followed for High school tests also.

Clay Hensky, the Director of International strategy and relationships; college Board said the main aim of redesigning SAT examination is to make the examination useful by ensuring, that everything that students face when then take it should be applicable to college studies as well as the career path. The changes will be highlighted in web site of College Board probably on April 16.

College Board in association with Khan academic will provide the aspirants. The free test preparation materials. The redesigned examination will be first admitted in spring exam of 2016.

The redesigned examination of SAT will have 3 sections. Namely

Evidence based Reading and Writing

Mathematics and

Essay

1600 scale is followed. The essay will provide a separate score. The time of the examinations will be 3 hours in length with an additional 50 minutes for the essay. SAT test will be administrated both in print and by computer in 2016.
