According to the Department for Education reflects that the students, who are studying English as a second language, probably get more advantages in degree courses. The candidates who spoke English as a second language perform better than the students who are speaking native language in Academic studies.
But, in an observation, in the last year, the students who speak the languages other than English at home scored better marks in optional subjects. Whereas the students whose mother tongue is English scored less.
The minister for schools told that pupils who are speaking language other than English did better in English courses. The non- English speaking students did better in the core subjects like mathematics, science, foreign languages and humanities. It is also reported that the British boys did not do well.
It is noted, English is not the first language in one in 9 schools.
In England the number of students who have English as the sacred language is increased by a fifth to 1.1 million in the past few years.
Because of this, the schools may struggle to consolidate and continue foreign born pupils, in the classes. The difficulty is indentifying translators to organize this. There is an increase in the overall number of children taking GCSE course in foreign language.
Lord Nash pointed out those pupils who speak English an additional language of areas better results in the tests than the other children.
This shift may increase the total number of children taking GCSE in foreign language.
Lord Nash spoke in the House of Lords told that pupils with EAL improve remarkably well, with high scores. Unfortunately, 14 boys from British origin with English as the first language badly.

So, there is an increase in the number of pupils doing languages at secondary levels has increased remarkably.
