T.V.Venkateswaran of Vigyan Prasar, the National Institute of Science Communication spoke about the Historic prospectus Astronomy and Astrology in India. In the program Think fest; organized by Chennai free thinkers. Which is a regional chapter of Nirmukta.

He explained about the methods of time calculation in ancient periods, time instruments and works of famous of Indian astronomers. He sends that lives cannot be determined.

He spoke about the horoscopes. He recollected a study which horoscopes of couples who live together for 25 years, were studies and was found that half of them were not matching. As a matter of controversy the study was made regarding the horoscopes of divorces people also. In that half of them were marked horoscopes and the rest were not matched.

He said that the tribals were the actual founders of Indian Astrology. The tribals used the patterns of animals for hunting and for agricultural culture.

He said tithi which mean lunar day did not emerge religious practices but for maternal practices.
