Data Mining is a term related to IT industry. Ryan Baker from Teachers college Columbia University says, that the concept of Data mining will have lot of effects in the field of education also, besides, IT sector. EED of Eurech Edysys and Solutions Pvt Ltd, organized Natural science Day programme in IIT Madras and Ryan Baker spoke on 21 Century Science Learning. He said that the data collected from the tools online learning and from the traditional approaches like class room assignments can be used to assignments can be used to analyze the behavior of the students.

He stressed that the students should be engaged in various activities to avoid boredom.

He has formed a protocol named Baker Rodrigo observation method Protocol (BROMP) to observe the students of various levels in the United States and can be used in educational Data mining. This may pay way for Engagement and learning This EDM can be used to study the career paths of the students also.
