Up gradation of PG seats in Medical colleges

It is approved by the centre on Thursday the proposal of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare for continuation of the centrally sponsored scheme to strengthen and upgrade state Government Medical Colleges to increase the post Graduate seats in the country.

The cabinet committee of Economic Affairs (CCEA) approved this central Assistance share of 1124 crore and state / UT share of 226 crore. The cost of this is Rs.1350 crore and this will increase seats to 4000.
