Book sellers and Publishers association of South India (BAPASI) conducts the 37th edition of the Chennai Book fair from January 10 to 22 at the YMCA college of Physical Education, Nandanam, Chennai. This is one of the most expected events for students, teachers, schools, publishers and writers. It is an occasion we can see the ocean of books in one place. There will be 777 stalls selling books in various groups and subjects and the stalls are arranged in an area of 2 lac square feet. The entry fee is Rs.10 and for children below 12 years will no fee for entry.
An exclusive application for Android and apple phones has been developed for the day to day programs tittles carried by various publishers and the location of stalls.
10% discount will be given for purchasing books in the book fair. According to BAPASI total of 7 lac free tickets were issued to school students.
Drawing and elocution competitions will be organized by the committee. All the facilities like free pickups and drops of the entrance of the fair, drinking water, food stalls, ATMs rest area as well as wheel chair and ambulances are arranged.
Book release and lectures are organized everyday between 4 pm and 8 pm.
The books on career guidance and Entrance Examination are the added features of this book fair.
